About the Role:

SOUTHSHORE GREENHOUSES INC. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vegetable Farm Foreman/Woman to join our team. As a key member of our agricultural operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our farm workers and harvesting labourers, ensuring the highest quality of produce and maintaining a safe and bio-secure work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers
  • Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed
  • Maintain quality control and production records
  • Maintain work records and logs
  • Hire and train staff
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
  • Perform general farm duties

Requirements:

  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Physical stamina to perform physically demanding tasks
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
