Job Title: Vegetable Farm Foreman/Woman

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vegetable Farm Foreman/Woman to join our team at Southshore Greenhouses Inc. in a rural area.

Job Summary:

The Vegetable Farm Foreman/Woman will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the work of general farm workers and harvesting laborers, ensuring farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed, maintaining quality control and production records, and performing general farm duties.

Responsibilities:
  • Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting laborers
  • Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed
  • Maintain quality control and production records
  • Maintain work records and logs
  • Hire and train staff
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
  • Perform general farm duties
Requirements:
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Experience: Experience an asset
  • or equivalent experience
Work Environment:

The work environment is fast-paced, with tight deadlines and physically demanding tasks. The successful candidate must be able to work under pressure and have a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
