Job Title: Vegetable Farm Foreman/Woman

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vegetable Farm Foreman/Woman to join our team at SOUTHSHORE GREENHOUSES INC.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers, ensuring farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed, and maintaining quality control and production records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers
  • Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed
  • Maintain quality control and production records
  • Maintain work records and logs
  • Hire and train staff
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
  • Perform general farm duties
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • or equivalent experience
  • Experience an asset

  • Heures de travail: 44 to 51 hours per week
Work Environment:

Fruit and vegetable combination farming in a hot environment.

Work Setting:

Rural area.

Supervision:

More than 20 people.

Area of Specialization:

Agricultural crop service.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, physically demanding, attention to detail, combination of sitting, standing, walking.
