Job Title: Telecommunications Repair Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Repair Specialist to join our team at Ansatel Communications. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications equipment and networks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and test cable signals and associated equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Install, arrange, remove, and maintain telephone equipment, wiring, and associated hardware.
  • Repair or replace defective telephone equipment to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Complete and maintain test and service reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Determine the nature, cause, and location of trouble to provide effective solutions.
  • Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders, or other support structures to access equipment.
  • Test equipment to locate transmission faults and ensure proper functioning.
  • Splice, join, and connect wires to ensure seamless communication.
  • Install trunking systems, circuits, and equipment to support growing network demands.
Requirements:
  • Bondable and able to obtain basic security clearance.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate a vehicle safely.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to distinguish between colors.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Physically demanding role requiring flexibility and judgment.
Work Environment:

This is an on-the-road job with a permanent position, requiring 40 hours of work per week. The primary language of work is English.
