We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join our team at Earl of Whitchurch. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet the needs of our customers.
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met.
- Train and supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
- Order supplies and equipment as needed to maintain a well-stocked kitchen.
- Maintain accurate inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
- Clean and maintain kitchen and work areas to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
- Organize and manage buffets and banquets to meet the needs of our customers.
- Manage kitchen operations to ensure efficient and effective use of resources.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a kitchen or food service environment.
- Basic security clearance.
- Own transportation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong client focus, dependability, flexibility, judgement, and reliability.
This is a permanent position with 33 to 40 hours per week. The work language is English.
