Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join our team at Earl of Whitchurch. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met.
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Order supplies and equipment as needed to maintain a well-stocked kitchen.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Clean and maintain kitchen and work areas to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
  • Organize and manage buffets and banquets to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Manage kitchen operations to ensure efficient and effective use of resources.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a kitchen or food service environment.
  • Basic security clearance.
  • Own transportation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong client focus, dependability, flexibility, judgement, and reliability.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent position with 33 to 40 hours per week. The work language is English.
