Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze business opportunities and identify potential growth areas
  • Coordinate the analysis, negotiation, and execution of M&A, corporate divestment, and strategic partnership activities
  • Lead financial analysis of various projects and support the development of the Bank's strategic plan and annual business plan
  • Participate in the identification of organic growth areas and conduct analyses to improve the Bank's strategic positioning
  • Manage or contribute to matrix project teams for the analysis and realization of organic or acquisition-based growth or divestment opportunities
  • Monitor and benchmark strategic and corporate development initiatives for the competition
About the Team

You will be part of a dynamic team of 5 colleagues and report directly to the VP, Corporate Development Strategy. Our team's mission is to be a centre of expertise for environmental strategic monitoring, advice on the development of corporate strategy, and the evaluation of investments or strategic partnerships.

Requirements
  • Industry-related bachelor's degree and 10 years of relevant experience or industry-related master's degree and 8 years of relevant experience
  • CPA (CMA, CGA, CA) or Financial Analyst (CFA) designation
  • Experience in team management in matrix mode
  • Experience in business strategy or corporate development
  • Experience in valuation, business acquisition, and due diligence
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet demanding deadlines
  • Excellent listening, communication, influencing, and writing skills
  • Knowledge of the Canadian financial industry and its various products and services
