Job Title: Building Maintenance Technician

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Technician to join our team at Tandel Group Inc. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of our buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs, and operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse.
  • Waste Management: Empty trash cans and other waste containers, and clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures.
  • Repairs and Maintenance: Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
  • Safety and Security: Perform safety and security checks, and move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies.
  • Seasonal Tasks: Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas.

Requirements:

  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: English or French.
  • Work Hours: 30 hours per week.
