Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Specialist to join our team at BGIS. As a key member of our facilities operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, including mechanical and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Identify and resolve issues with mechanical and electrical systems, perform routine and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal facility uptime.
  • Facility Monitoring and Inspection: Conduct regular walkthroughs to monitor facility conditions, identify areas for improvement, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Client Relations: Provide excellent customer service, respond to client requests, and maintain positive relationships through effective communication and issue resolution.
  • Administration: Participate in facility-related projects, ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures, and maintain accurate records of work completed.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience: High school diploma plus trades training and/or certification, minimum 3 years of experience in preventive and corrective maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, or pneumatic or hydraulic systems.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Sound knowledge of facility operations and maintenance processes, ability to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and other building systems and equipment, strong client-service orientation, and effective communication skills.
