About the Role:

  • We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team, and contributing to the development of best practices in mental health nursing.

Job Summary:

  • This is a full-time position that requires a strong background in mental health nursing, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
">

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience working in mental health settings, a certification in Mental Health Nursing, and knowledge of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and psychopharmacology.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive assessments and care planning for patients with complex mental health needs
  • Work collaboratively with the treatment team to develop and implement individualized plans of care
  • Consult with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals as needed
  • Collaborate with community partners to provide coordinated care
  • Participate in education and research initiatives to advance mental health nursing practice

Requirements:

">
  • Degree in Nursing (RN) or equivalent
  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in mental health nursing
  • Certification in Mental Health Nursing
  • Knowledge of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and psychopharmacology
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Salary:$90,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience
