We are seeking a skilled Harvesting Specialist - Farm Operations to join our team at CN Produce Inc. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail, ability to work independently, and a strong commitment to quality.

About the Job

This position involves working on our farm in a fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads, and meeting tight deadlines. The successful candidate will have excellent hand-eye coordination, be able to stand for extended periods, and perform tasks that require bending, crouching, and kneeling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply hoeing techniques between rows to maintain crop health
  • Grade vegetables and fruits according to size, shape, color, and volume
  • Hand harvest vegetables, pick row and orchard crops, plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops
  • Weeding, cleaning work areas, harvesting crops, loading, unloading, and transferring crates, supplies, and farm produce, livestock, and poultry
Experience and Specialization

We are looking for candidates with experience in farming operations, specifically with asparagus, potatoes, and vegetables. Forklift and hand tool experience is also essential.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

The successful candidate must be able to work independently, handle heavy loads, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. They must also be physically demanding and have good hand-eye coordination.

Weight Handling

The job requires lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs) of materials and equipment.

Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
