At the University of Toronto, we are seeking a highly qualified individual to join our team as a tenure-stream faculty member in the Department of Philosophy. As a member of our faculty, you will have the opportunity to engage in cutting-edge research, teach and mentor students, and contribute to the vibrant academic community at our institution.

The successful candidate will be an Assistant Professor with a strong background in Metaphysics and Epistemology, and a demonstrated ability to conduct innovative and independent research. They will also have a strong commitment to teaching and mentoring, and will be able to contribute to the development of our curriculum and programs.

Key responsibilities of the position include:

  • Conducting research in Metaphysics and Epistemology, and publishing in top-ranked and field-relevant journals
  • Teaching and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students in Philosophy
  • Developing and implementing curriculum and programs in Philosophy
  • Contributing to the development of the Department of Philosophy and the University of Toronto

The ideal candidate will have a PhD in Philosophy or a closely related field, and a strong record of research and teaching excellence. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
