Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team at Westcoast Processing Inc. as a Supervisor, Plastics Processing Shop. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of production workers who operate processing machines and fabricate, assemble, finish, or inspect plastic or rubber parts and products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Production Activities
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and coordinate work activities with other work units
    • Supervise and train production workers in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies
  • Recommend Personnel Actions
    • Recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions
  • Prepare Reports and Analyze Data
    • Prepare production and other reports
    • Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
  • Manage Resources and Materials
    • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies
  • Ensure a Safe and Healthy Work Environment
    • Ensure that all production workers follow safety procedures and company policies
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience
    • Experience an asset
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
