Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Plastics Processing Supervisor to join our team at Westcoast Processing Inc. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of production workers who operate processing machines and fabricate, assemble, finish, or inspect plastic or rubber parts and products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of production workers to ensure efficient and effective production processes.
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and coordinate work activities with other work units.
  • Recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions to ensure a skilled and motivated team.
  • Prepare production and other reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality, and implement changes as needed.
  • Train staff and workers in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies to maintain a well-stocked inventory.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with team members and management.
  • Organized and efficient interpersonal skills to manage conflicts and resolve issues.
  • Reliability and a strong work ethic to ensure consistent and high-quality production.
  • Experience an asset, but not required.
