Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team at Westcoast Processing Inc. as a Supervisor, Plastics Processing Shop. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our plastics processing shop, ensuring that production schedules are met, and that high-quality products are delivered to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Production Activities

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of production workers who operate processing machines and fabricate, assemble, finish, or inspect plastic or rubber parts and products.

Establish Work Schedules and Coordinate with Other Departments

The successful candidate will establish methods to meet work schedules and coordinate work activities with other work units to ensure seamless production.

Recommend Personnel Actions

The Production Supervisor will recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions to ensure that the team is equipped to meet production demands.

Prepare Production Reports

The successful candidate will prepare production and other reports to ensure that management is informed of production progress and any issues that may arise.

Improve Productivity and Product Quality

The Production Supervisor will recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards.

Train and Develop Staff

The successful candidate will train staff and workers in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies to ensure that they are equipped to perform their roles effectively.

Requisition Materials and Equipment

The Production Supervisor will requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed to ensure that production operations run smoothly.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Repetitive Tasks

The successful candidate will be required to perform repetitive tasks as part of their duties.

Physically Demanding

The Production Supervisor will be required to work in a physically demanding environment, lifting and moving heavy equipment and materials as needed.

Manual Dexterity

The successful candidate will require manual dexterity to operate processing machines and perform other tasks.

The Production Supervisor will be required to have attention to detail to ensure that products are of high quality.
