Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Construction Helper to join our team at JIV CONSTRUCTION CORPORATION. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for assisting in the construction process, ensuring the safe and efficient completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt under the supervision of experienced personnel.
  • Assist medical examiners in charge with medical procedures as needed.
  • Participate in the demolition of buildings and clean up of construction sites.
  • Remove rubble and other debris from construction sites and dispose of them properly.
  • Tend to or feed machines and equipment used in construction, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites, ensuring the safety of workers and the general public.
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Manual dexterity and ability to handle heavy loads up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Flexibility and reliability, with a willingness to travel regularly.
Working Conditions

This is a physically demanding role that requires working outdoors in various weather conditions. The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and be able to lift heavy loads.

Language

The primary language of work is English.

Work Schedule

The work schedule is 40 hours per week, with regular travel required.
