Job Description:

Supporting Our Residents

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Associate to join our team. As a key member of our residential support staff, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe living environment for our residents.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and hygienic environment
  • Dust furniture and other household items to ensure a tidy and comfortable space
  • Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture to prevent dust buildup and allergens
  • Make beds and change sheets to provide a clean and comfortable sleeping environment
  • Distribute clean towels and toiletries as needed to promote personal hygiene
  • Stock linen closets to ensure a steady supply of clean linens
  • Clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances to maintain a healthy environment
  • Launder clothing and household linens to keep them clean and fresh
  • Mend clothing and linens to extend their lifespan and reduce waste
  • Wash windows, walls, and ceilings to maintain a clean and visually appealing environment

Security and Safety:

  • Criminal record checks will be conducted to ensure the safety and security of our residents

Support for Newcomers and Refugees:

  • Assist newcomers and refugees with foreign credential recognition to help them integrate into our community
  • Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to promote understanding and respect among residents

Support for Indigenous People:

  • Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities to support Indigenous residents in achieving their goals
  • Provide cultural competency training and awareness programs to promote understanding and respect among residents

Work Details:

This is a permanent position, working 30 hours per week in English.
