Convenience Store Manager

Abercrombie Video and Variety is seeking a highly motivated and organized Convenience Store Manager to join our team. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our convenience store, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage Staff and Assign Duties: Supervise and train a team of 3-4 employees, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide exceptional customer service.
- Determine Merchandise and Services: Analyze sales data and customer feedback to determine the types of merchandise and services to be sold in the store.
- Implement Price and Credits Policies: Develop and implement pricing strategies and credit policies to maximize sales and minimize losses.
- Locate, Select, and Procure Merchandise: Source and purchase merchandise for resale, ensuring high-quality products at competitive prices.
- Develop and Implement Marketing Strategies: Create and execute marketing plans to increase sales and drive customer engagement.
- Plan Budgets and Monitor Revenues and Expenses: Develop and manage budgets, monitoring revenues and expenses to ensure profitability.
- Determine Staffing Requirements: Analyze sales data and customer traffic to determine staffing needs.
- Resolve Issues: Address customer complaints, supply shortages, and other issues that may arise.
- Recruit, Hire, and Supervise Staff: Recruit, hire, and train staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide excellent customer service.
- Conduct Performance Reviews: Regularly review employee performance, providing feedback and coaching to improve skills and productivity.
- Plan, Organize, Direct, Control, and Evaluate Daily Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the store, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.
- Experience: Previous experience in retail management or a related field is an asset.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
- Language: English is the primary language of communication.
- Work Environment: The convenience store is a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
- Physical Capabilities: The ability to stand for extended periods and work under pressure is required.
- Personal Suitability: Adaptability, analytical skills, creativity, efficiency, energy, goal-oriented, hardworking, integrity, outgoing, positive attitude, proactive, quick learner, time management, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, interpersonal awareness, organized, team player, and ability to multitask are essential.
