Convenience Store Manager

Abercrombie Video and Variety is seeking a highly motivated and organized Convenience Store Manager to join our team. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our convenience store, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage Staff and Assign Duties: Supervise and train a team of 3-4 employees, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide exceptional customer service.
- Determine Merchandise and Services: Analyze sales data and customer feedback to determine the most profitable products and services to offer, and implement strategies to increase sales.
- Implement Price and Credits Policies: Develop and implement pricing strategies to maximize revenue, and manage credits and refunds to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Locate, Select, and Procure Merchandise: Source and purchase merchandise for resale, ensuring high-quality products and competitive pricing.
- Develop and Implement Marketing Strategies: Create and execute marketing plans to increase brand awareness and drive sales, including social media, in-store promotions, and loyalty programs.
- Plan Budgets and Monitor Revenues and Expenses: Develop and manage budgets, track revenues and expenses, and make data-driven decisions to optimize profitability.
- Determine Staffing Requirements: Analyze sales data and customer traffic to determine staffing needs, and adjust schedules accordingly.
- Resolve Issues: Address customer complaints, supply shortages, and other issues that may arise, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
- Recruit, Hire, and Supervise Staff: Recruit, hire, and train new staff members, and provide ongoing supervision and coaching to ensure high performance.
- Conduct Performance Reviews: Regularly evaluate employee performance, providing feedback and coaching to improve skills and productivity.
- Plan, Organize, Direct, Control, and Evaluate Daily Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the convenience store, ensuring efficient and effective management of resources, staff, and customers.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
- Experience: Experience an asset.
- Language: English.
- Work Environment: Fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods, and working under pressure.
