Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Therapist/Counselor to join our team at Fort McMurray Public School Division. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and group counseling services to students in a school-based setting
  • Develop and implement counseling programs to promote mental health and well-being
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student success
  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans to address student mental health needs
  • Provide crisis intervention and support services as needed
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Counseling or a related field
  • Registered Psychologist or Certified Counselor designation
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in a school-based setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
