Job Title: Senior Test Automation Specialist

We're looking for a skilled Senior Test Automation Specialist to join our team and contribute to our mission. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for:

  • Performing automation testing functions and support for our products and services, with a focus on online-related projects.
  • Reviewing functional and design specifications to ensure a thorough understanding of our products and how to test them.
  • Designing and documenting the Integration Automation Framework, as well as documenting best practices to maximize test coverage and minimize test cycles time via automation.
  • Evaluating scripts and recommending changes as per requirements.
  • Enhancing the automation test strategy to incorporate microservices automation test strategy where relevant, including Integration and end-to-end user process flow.
  • Defining automation metrics and the process for collecting and validating these metrics while monitoring the efficiency of automation activities.
  • Developing NFR automation tests targeting interactions between different services and components, timeouts, and retries.

As a Senior Test Automation Specialist, you'll bring:

  • A Computer Science Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of direct experience in software development with strong hands-on experience in software automation testing, test case development, test execution, test results analysis, and test optimization.
  • Experience in creating, maintaining, and optimizing automation frameworks, including test reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience in NUnit or JUnit.
  • Experience working within a formal CI/CD pipeline.
  • Strong knowledge of C#, JavaScript, and Selenium WebDriver.
  • API testing using POSTman or similar.
  • Knowledge of web applications architecture, APIs, SQL, and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with load testing using JMeter or similar.
  • Knowledge and experience with Git/Stash, Jenkins, and Bamboo.
  • Knowledge and experience of microservices architecture regarding integration and functional automation tests.
  • Agile team and methodology experience; Kanban experience is desirable.
  • Must be eligible to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a Full-Time capacity.
