Senior Test Automation Specialist

At Interac, we're shaping the future of the digital economy in Canada. We're looking for a Senior Test Automation Specialist to join our team and contribute to the design and delivery of innovative products and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform automation testing functions and support for Interac Corp. products and services, with a focus on online related projects.
  2. Review functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of what we build and how to test it.
  3. Design and document the Integration Automation Framework, documenting best practices to maximize test coverage and minimize test cycle time.
  4. Evaluate scripts and recommend changes as per requirements.
  5. Enhance the automation test strategy to incorporate microservices automation test strategy.
  6. Define automation metrics and process for collecting and validating these metrics.
  7. Develop NFR automation tests targeting interactions between different services and components.
Requirements:
  1. Computer Science Degree or equivalent work experience.
  2. 5+ years direct experience in software development with strong experience in software automation testing.
  3. Experience in creating, maintaining, and optimizing automation frameworks.
  4. Demonstrated experience in NUnit or JUnit.
  5. Experience working within a formal CI/CD pipeline.
  6. Strong knowledge of C#, JavaScript.
  7. Knowledge of Selenium WebDriver.
  8. API testing using POST man or similar.
  9. Knowledge with web applications architecture, APIs, SQL and NoSQL databases.
  10. Experience with load testing using JMeter or similar.
  11. Knowledge and experience with Git/Stash.
  12. Knowledge and experience with Jenkins, Bamboo.
  13. Knowledge and experience of micro-services architecture.
  14. Agile team and methodology experience.
  15. Must be eligible to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a Full-Time Capacity.
