Job Description

Progesys is a leading company in the field of industrial project management, specializing in the transition from construction to operation. We are seeking a highly skilled Project Planner to join our team.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the performance measurement baseline by preparing the time-phased budget.
  • Prepare and update the earned value curves.
  • Update the performance baseline by implementing approved changes.
  • Update forecast dates and provide initial variance analysis to assist the Project Manager.
  • Work closely with Project Cost Control and other functions for efficient and robust updating and reporting of EVMS.
  • Prepare the project report to include EVMS metrics such as:
    • Cost Performance Index
    • Schedule Performance Index
    • Cost Variance
    • Schedule Variance
    • Estimate to Complete
    • Estimate at Completion
    • Variance at Completion
    • Variance explanation
  • Develop and maintain project management processes and standards.
  • Collaborate with the project team to achieve project objectives within the prescribed timeframe.
Requirements
  • Completion of a bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Graduate studies in a related field, an asset.
  • Certifications and training in project planning.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in planning engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning projects on a major project (+100M).
  • Experience as a Senior Planner.
  • Experience in heavy industry (refining, petrochemical, mining and metals, hydro, etc.).
  • Experience in a multi-project environment.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project and other planning tools.
  • PMP, PMI-SP, AACEI-PSP or other certification, an asset.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is essential.
