Job Description

**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Product Development Director to join our team at Venor. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of engineers and scientists to develop innovative medical device technologies and products.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Oversee and mentor a team of engineers and scientists to cultivate a culture of technical excellence and accountability.
  2. Lead the development of new and innovative medical device technologies, processes, solutions, and products from concept through to verification and validation.
  3. Ensure design work is performed efficiently, adheres to industry best practices and standards, and is evaluated against predetermined acceptance criteria.
  4. Establish design inputs, conduct risk assessments, and create design verification and validation protocols.
  5. Drive team performance by providing clear direction, feedback, and alignment with organizational objectives.
  6. Translate strategic goals and objectives to inform teams' technical plans and tasks.
  7. Establish and liaison with external partnerships to ensure on-time and high-quality execution of development activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in science or engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience leading a product design team, preferably in the medical device industry.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
