Executive Director, Transportation Operations

We are a leading transportation company seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead our operations team.
Job SummaryThe Executive Director, Transportation Operations will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our transportation business, ensuring the efficient and safe movement of goods and people.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business objectives, including allocating resources, managing budgets, and coordinating with senior staff.
- Operational Management: Oversee the management of transportation operations, including the coordination of routes, schedules, and logistics.
- Financial Management: Manage financial resources, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Human Resources: Lead and develop a team of middle managers, directors, and other executive staff, ensuring they have the necessary authority and resources to perform their duties.
- Communication: Represent the company in negotiations, meetings, and other official functions, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders, including employees, customers, and partners.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business, logistics, or transportation.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a senior management role, preferably in the transportation industry.
- Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and manage a large workload.
- Computer and Technology Knowledge: Proficient in MS Office, MS Outlook, and MS Windows.
- Security and Safety: Ability to pass a criminal record check.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work under pressure and manage a large workload.
- Personal Suitability: Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal awareness, and team player skills.
