Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator to join our team at North Truck and Trailer Repair Ltd. As an Assembly Line Fabricator, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of work on our fabrication lines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret Work Specifications: Carefully review and interpret welding process specifications to ensure accurate execution.
  • Operate Equipment: Safely operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment, as well as flame-cutting equipment, to fabricate parts and components.
  • Inspect Work: Thoroughly examine welds and ensure they meet standards and/or specifications.
  • Maintain Equipment: Regularly maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Work Environment and Requirements:
  • Work Setting: Our fabrication shop operates in both commercial and residential settings.
  • Physical Demands: This role requires regular physical activity, with repetitive tasks and physically demanding conditions.
  • Attention to Detail: You must possess excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail to ensure high-quality work.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in fabrication and welding.
  • Physical Abilities: Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
Personal Suitability:
  • Efficient Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues.
  • Organized: Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
  • Team Player: Willingness to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year.
  • Hours: 30 to 35 hours per week.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Term: Permanent position.
