Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse in Charge to join our team at Tsay Key Dene Nursing Station. As a key member of our nursing team, you will provide leadership and guidance on comprehensive nursing functions and services, promoting health, preventing disease, and protecting population health.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide professional guidance and assistance to community leaders and other community health care team members
  • Work independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team to promote health and prevent disease
  • Focus on curative, urgent, and emergent care, rehabilitation, and supportive or palliative care
  • Develop and implement nursing plans and programs to improve health outcomes
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing
  • Current registration with British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
  • Current CPR course for Health Care Providers (HCP)
  • Remote certification (RNC) with BCCNM
  • Successful completion of approved training in public health nursing or obstetrics, mental health, or other specialty
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's license and own a vehicle
  • Understanding of First Nations cultural principles and protocols
