About the Role:

MAV Services Inc. is seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker to join our team. As a Cabinetmaker, you will be responsible for creating custom cabinets and furniture pieces using various woodworking techniques and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate woodworking machines to cut, shape, and form parts and components
  • Prepare specifications for custom-made cabinets that maximize storage
  • Shape surfaces or edges of wood workpieces using hand tools
  • Instruct apprentices in woodworking techniques
  • Study plans and specifications to create custom furniture pieces
  • Operate CADD and other computer software systems
  • Trim joints and fit parts together to form complete units
  • Sand and finish wood surfaces
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in woodworking or a related field
  • Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift over 45 kg (100 lbs)
