About the Role:

Dawson City General Store Ltd is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our team. As a Grocery Store Cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, operating a cash register, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a cash register and process transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a professional manner
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the cash wrap, stockroom, and sales floor
  • Restock shelves and merchandise as needed
  • Assist with inventory management and stock control
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive store atmosphere

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a retail environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds
