We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales leadership team, you will be responsible for driving growth and revenue in our consultant small case group benefits business.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with Account Executives on day-to-day concerns, including handling escalated issues.
- Develop and maintain relationships with business partners both internally and externally.
- Collaborate with regional service counterparts to ensure customer needs are met.
- Achieve business objectives and execute quarterly regional business plans as rolled out by the Regional Vice President.
- Provide leadership and coaching to your sales team to drive performance and achieve business objectives.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with consultants and customers to achieve annual sales, persistency, and other targets.
- Manage the sales process from request for proposal to finalist presentation.
- Work closely with consultants, customers, and client relationship staff to ensure customer satisfaction through our new business implementation process and ongoing account management.
- Promote additional products and services with consultants, customers, and regional service counterparts to enhance client retention.
- Maintain a small caseload of large or complex clients, as necessary, to support their unique sales needs.
In addition to these responsibilities, you will also be expected to:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to drive growth and revenue.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including cross-functional teams and senior leaders.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategies and tactics.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
