Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to join our team at CB Canada. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and capacity of our database systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the deployment of systems and applications in non-production and production environments, focusing on database management and batch processing.
  • Establish diagnostics and implement corrections to ensure optimal performance and capacity.
  • Resolve all assigned interventions resulting from incidents, requests, or changes (planned or unplanned).
  • Provide technical support, escalating unresolved issues to vendors or external experts.
  • Assist developers with complex database methodologies and accompany the design of logical and physical databases, as needed.
  • Develop, document, and disseminate procedures for smooth IT operations.
  • Utilize configuration, security access, and backup/restore procedures for databases.
  • Resolve all assigned interventions resulting from incidents, requests, or changes (planned or unplanned).

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of expertise.
  • Excellent mastery of various SQL Server versions (2016 and later).
  • Knowledge of SQL Server Analysis Services, Integration Services, and Reporting Services (2016 and later).
  • Excellent knowledge of programming, optimization, and troubleshooting in T-SQL.
  • Knowledge of high availability modes (AlwaysOn) for SQL Server, Integration Services, and Reporting Services, a plus.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure SQL administration, a plus.
  • Knowledge of programming (scripting) and troubleshooting with PowerShell and REST API, a plus.
  • Experience in batch processing (batch) on Tidal or other schedulers, a plus.
  • Knowledge of Red Hat Ansible, a plus.
  • Collaboration and teamwork, communication, adaptability, and leadership.
  • French and English (a plus).
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
