About the Expert Oracle SQL Developer Role:

We seek a highly skilled Senior Software Developer with a minimum of 10 years of experience specializing in Oracle SQL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling production support issues, month-end processes, and implementing robust error handling procedures within our dynamic insurance technology environment.

  • Analyze system requirements and propose innovative solutions
  • Translate business needs into detailed technical specifications
  • Develop and maintain complex Oracle SQL queries and scripts
  • Collaborate with the development team to ensure project success
  • Write comprehensive unit and integration tests
  • Participate in rigorous regression testing cycles
  • Proactively troubleshoot and resolve production support issues
  • Work effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals
  • Implement sophisticated error handling mechanisms
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for the application
  • Conduct thorough user acceptance testing tasks

Requirements for the Role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in Oracle SQL
  • Deep understanding of reinsurance processes and workflows
  • Proven background in the insurance industry
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance principles
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Bilingualism is considered an asset
