Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Control Systems Hardware Designer to join our team at ATS Life Sciences Systems. As a key member of our Controls Engineering Department, you will be responsible for designing and developing control systems for our life sciences projects.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop control systems for life sciences projects, ensuring compliance with ATS standards and customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with mechanical designers to integrate control systems with mechanical components.
  • Develop and maintain electrical design packages, including schematics, cable routing diagrams, and panel layouts.
  • Work with the Controls Engineering Department to improve methods of integrating controls technology and reduce costs.
  • Specify and procure electrical and controls-related hardware and software.
  • Integrate third-party equipment and electronic components into electrical design packages.
  • Verify the accuracy and safety of electrical design packages.
  • Provide training to customers on electrical hardware, machine operation, and programming principles.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary technology diploma or engineering degree in electronics, electrical, or controls technology.
  • Five years of experience in electrical control systems design, preferably in the industrial automation field.
  • Working knowledge of ePlan and AutoCAD.
