Key Responsibilities:- Hire, Supervise, and Schedule Staff: Lead and manage a team of landscaping professionals, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and resources to complete tasks efficiently.
- Plan and Direct Grounds Maintenance: Develop and implement plans for maintaining our clients' outdoor spaces, including lawn care, pruning, and other landscaping tasks.
- Plan, Manage, and Supervise Landscape Construction Work: Oversee the construction of new landscaping features, including patios, walkways, and other hardscapes.
- Requisition or Order Materials, Equipment, and Supplies: Source and procure the necessary materials and equipment for our landscaping projects.
- Resolve Work Problems, Provide Technical Advice, and Recommend Measures to Improve Productivity and Product Quality: Troubleshoot issues and provide guidance to team members to ensure that tasks are completed to the highest standard.
- Establish Work Schedules and Procedures: Develop and implement efficient work schedules and procedures to ensure that tasks are completed on time.
- Clean Snow and Ice from Walkways and Parking Areas: Ensure that our clients' outdoor spaces are safe and accessible during winter months.
- Perform Same Duties as Workers Supervised: Be prepared to roll up your sleeves and assist team members as needed.
- 3-4 Years of Experience: Proven experience in landscaping or a related field.
- Valid Driver's Licence: A valid driver's licence is required for this role.
- Vehicle Supplied by Employer: A company vehicle will be provided for work-related tasks.
- Excellent Oral Communication Skills: Strong communication skills are essential for this role.
- Initiative and Team Player: A positive attitude and a willingness to work as part of a team are essential.
This is a physically demanding role that requires working outdoors in a fast-paced environment. You will be required to work under pressure and be able to lift heavy objects.
