Job Title: Assistant Manager, Adidas Retail Store

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at Adidas Retail Store. As a key member of our store management team, you will be responsible for assisting the Store Manager in ensuring all operational, business, and personnel targets are achieved for the store.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Store Manager in managing the day-to-day operations of the store to ensure the store meets key performance indicators and profit and loss expectations.
  • Positively communicate and demonstrate the Brand values, attitude, and culture.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of all corporate programs, initiatives, and strategies.
  • Assist the Store Manager in ensuring there are effective succession, recruiting, hiring, and training plans, resulting in lower store turnover.
  • Develop staff by evaluating and providing performance feedback, seizing all coaching and training opportunities, and fostering a team environment to meet store and company objectives.
  • Promote a high-performance culture by setting clear expectations, providing information to the Store Manager to hold employees accountable, creating an effective and efficient work environment, and setting goals that focus the team on key drivers that impact success.

Requirements:

  • College or University degree and 1 year of Retail experience, preferably in the Sporting Apparel & Footwear industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior management and key experience preferred.

Working Conditions:

The employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 12 kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 kg.

Additional Information:

The employee is required to work a varied schedule, including weekends, evenings, and statutory holidays. The employee is also required to work extra hours during peak sales periods.
