Director of Rooms Operations

The Director of Rooms Operations is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Rooms Division at Rosewood Hotel Georgia. This includes managing the Front Office, Housekeeping, and Guest Relations teams to ensure exceptional guest experiences and high-quality service standards.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management
- Lead and manage the Rooms Division team to achieve operational excellence and meet business objectives.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve guest satisfaction, loyalty, and retention.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and maximize revenue opportunities.
- Operational Excellence
- Ensure compliance with Rosewood Hotel Georgia's policies, procedures, and standards.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with vendors, suppliers, and partners to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Guest Experience
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance the guest experience and increase guest satisfaction.
- Ensure that all guest interactions are handled in a professional and courteous manner.
- Monitor and address guest complaints and concerns in a timely and effective manner.
- Team Development and Training
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the Rooms Division team.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to team members to ensure they meet business objectives.
- Identify and develop future leaders within the Rooms Division team.
- Financial Management
- Develop and manage the Rooms Division budget to ensure financial targets are met.
- Monitor and analyze financial KPIs to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue and reduce costs.
- Education
- College degree or equivalent work experience.
- Experience
- Minimum five years' experience in a similar or relevant capacity in luxury or ultra-luxury properties.
- Previous experience as a Manager/Director of Housekeeping & Front Office is required.
- Skills and Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge of luxury service and guest expectations.
- Extensive knowledge and experience of expense/labor/occupancy forecasting and budgeting.
- Ability to plan, implement, and design operating standards and procedures.
- Effectuate quality and quantity control standards.
- Clear understanding of financial statements and able to react with minimal guidance.
- Establish quarterly and annual objectives for a variety of management team members.
- Be resourceful, creative, and maintain flexibility.
- Knowledge of technical/behavioral requirements to train, motivate, evaluate, mentor, and direct employees and managers to meet desired ends.
- Extensive knowledge of OPERA, MICROS, and Book4time.
- Access, input, analyze, and retrieve information from computers.
- Maintain excellent relations with staff.
- Always maintain confidentiality.
- Accept responsibility for actions of others.
- Manage by example.
- Exceptional verbal communication skills to ensure ability to negotiate and persuade guests and staff to achieve results beneficial to operation of property.
- Ability to converse calmly with irate guests, superiors, and subordinates in sometimes intense emotional situations.
- Focus and maintain attention to timely performance of tasks despite frequent interruptions.
- Ability to memorize, recollect, and quickly retrieve dates, names, times, and other data pertinent for the operation.
- Analyze and interpret established policies.
- An active leader and participant in all departmental and hotel-wide meetings.
- Plan and organize the work of others.
