Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at NS CHAUHAN TRUCKING LTD. The ideal candidate will have a valid Class 1 or A driver's license and a minimum of 1 year of experience in long-haul trucking.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods from the truck, ensuring that all cargo is secure and properly tied down.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect the vehicle's tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment to ensure that it is in good working condition.
  • Emergency Roadside Repairs: Perform emergency roadside repairs as needed, including changing tires and making minor repairs to the vehicle.
  • Pre-Trip, En Route, and Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure that the vehicle is in good working condition and that all safety protocols are being followed.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform regular preventive maintenance on the vehicle, including oil changes and other routine maintenance tasks.
  • Communication: Maintain regular communication with central dispatch and other drivers to ensure that all cargo is delivered safely and on time.
  • Record Keeping: Keep accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Requirements
  • Driver's License: A valid Class 1 or A driver's license is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in long-haul trucking is required.
  • Certifications: Air Brakes Endorsement and a valid driver's license are required.
