Our Organization: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Guelph was founded in 1968 and serves over 600 young people across the community through our five core mentoring programs. We are committed to providing life-changing mentoring programs that ignite the power and potential of all young people.
The Opportunity: We are seeking a dynamic leader to join our team as the Executive Director. As the public face of our organization, you will be responsible for leading our team, building partnerships, and ensuring the long-term financial sustainability of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and direction to our team, ensuring the effective delivery of our programs and services.
- Community Relations: Represent our organization, promoting our vision and impact to inspire and encourage staff, volunteers, partners, donors, and community members.
- Program Development: Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of our programs and services, ensuring they meet the needs of our rapidly evolving community.
- Human Resources: Determine staffing requirements, oversee the implementation of human resources policies and procedures, and implement a complete performance management process for all staff positions.
- Risk Management: Identify and evaluate risks to our organization, implementing measures to control risks and inform the Board of any risks.
Qualifications and Key Skills:
- Over five years of experience in a leadership role.
- A passion for youth service organizations and the role mentorship plays in the development of young people.
- A strategic and growth mindset.
- A history of success in developing, executing, and monitoring successful revenue generation and fundraising plans.
- A commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and reconciliation.
