The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description

As a Glass Industry Estimation Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates for assigned jobs, attending pre-tender site meetings, and liaising with building owners and consultants. You will also prepare and follow up on quotations and tenders, including attending post-bid meetings. Additionally, you will order Bid Bonds, Performance Bonds, Agreements to Bonds, Tender deposits, Letters of Reference, and CCDC Documents. You will review all contracts and accepted quotations, prepare work orders, and assist Production and Contract Management with preparations for prices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3-5 years' work experience in an Estimating position;
  • Previous experience in the Glazing Industry required;
  • Completion of an Architectural Technology Diploma, Estimating Certificate, or education in a related field;
  • Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications;
  • Strong communication and organizational skills;
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask.
