Job Summary:

Parsons Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Revit BIM Modeler to join our Critical Infrastructure team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) in our Canada offices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain 3D models for drawing preparation, clash detection, and presentation.
  • Extract 3D models for clash analysis, schedule review, and quantity surveying.
  • Ensure coordination of all model interfaces with designers and engineers from other disciplines.
  • Verify that all models, drawings, and deliverables comply with project and company quality standards and BIM requirements.
  • Prepare engineering drawings from the model, including basic arrangements, layouts, profiles, and sections.
  • Develop and extract 2D geometry from the models for internal reviews and coordination meetings.
  • Deliver Project Information Models (PIMs) in accordance with the agreed Technical Information Delivery Protocol (TIDP), Master Information Delivery Plan (MIDP), and Common Data Environment (CDE) protocol.
  • Prepare BIM package submissions in accordance with project standards and requirements.
  • Conduct clash detection and visual walkthroughs.
  • Prepare models and reports for constructability analysis.
  • Coordinate work with the lead technical engineer, ensuring timely completion of deliverables.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 5+ years of Revit experience, with a deep understanding of current Revit versions and proficiency in CAD design 2D/3D (AutoCAD and Revit).
  • Able to demonstrate the ability to set up new Revit project files, strong problem-solving skills, and multitasking ability.
  • Proficient in producing Revit Families according to project requirements.
  • Able to maintain standards and library of Revit families/objects.
  • Expert knowledge of Revit, including parametric modeling, Bill of Material generation, assemblies, sub-assemblies, family creation, and federated modeling using Revit Links.
  • Advanced Revit skills, including creation of a federated model using Revit Links, working with Revit Worksets, and professional use of shared coordinates.
  • Proficient in a range of BIM Authoring, Scripting, Design Review, Coordination, Simulations, and Collaboration Platforms, including Revit, Dynamo, Navisworks, ACC, Civil3D, and AutoCAD.
  • Rail projects experience is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of BIM codes and Standards (ISO19650, PAS1192-2, BS1192).
  • Knowledge of General BIM Model requirements (i.e., LOD, Naming convention, parametric modeling, etc.).

Preferred Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to develop analytical reports and presentations.
