Job Description
  • We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Affairs Specialist to join our team on a 12-month contract basis.
  • As a Regulatory Affairs Specialist, you will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing applications related to natural gas facilities, franchises, and certificates.
  • You will also identify relevant issues with assigned applications and provide in-depth analysis and advice to internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  1. Review and manage the processing of applications related to natural gas rate setting and/or leave to construct of natural gas pipelines.
  2. Collaborate and coordinate with groups and individuals internal and external to the OEB, including subject matter experts, the OEB's legal department, Commissioners, and intervenors.
  3. Assist in the settlement of issues with applications and other stakeholders, develop interrogatories, and participate in technical conference questioning.

Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, or other related field.
  • 3+ years' experience in the energy sector, with preferred experience in natural gas regulation.
  • Previous experience with adjudicative procedures is an asset.
