Hotel Housekeeper

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Hotel Housekeeper to join our team at Island Travel Inn Inc.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our hotel rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. This is a full-time position that requires a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:- Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture, make beds and change sheets, distribute clean towels and toiletries, stock linen closet, disinfect operating rooms and other areas, clean and disinfect elevators, handle and report lost and found items, attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items, provide basic information on facilities, pick up debris and empty trash containers.
- Laundry and Linen: Launder clothing and household linens, mend clothing and linens, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, shop for food and household supplies, wash windows, walls, and ceilings, clean changing rooms and showers.
- Guest Services: Address customers' complaints or concerns, provide excellent customer service, respond to guest requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Safety and Security: Maintain a safe and secure work environment, report any safety hazards or concerns to management, adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
- Experience: Will train.
- Certifications: Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
- Physical Demands: Ability to work independently, fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, attention to detail, bending, crouching, kneeling, combination of sitting, standing, walking, overtime required, sitting, standing for extended periods, walking.
- Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
