About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Manager to join our team at NPC/Sandman Hotel Group. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction in our hotel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Management: Develop and implement effective operational procedures to ensure seamless housekeeping operations, including infection control and outbreak prevention.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping supervisors and crews, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of assigned areas to ensure that high standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction are maintained.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and train housekeeping staff to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records of supplies, equipment, and uniforms, ensuring that stock levels are adequate to meet operational needs.
  • Laundry Services: Supervise and coordinate in-house laundry services, ensuring that they are operated efficiently and effectively.
  • Scheduling: Schedule and assign duties of housekeeping staff to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that local health and sanitation regulations are adhered to, and that all necessary documentation is maintained.
  • Guest Relations: Respond to guest complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring that customer satisfaction is maintained.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Physical Capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, initiative, interpersonal awareness, judgement, organized, reliability, and team player.
