About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Planning & Purchasing Manager to join our Food and Logistics team at Toronto Foundation for Student Success (TFSS). As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in developing and executing our organization's food and equipment procurement strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective procurement tactics in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively within the Food and Logistics team and other departments to ensure all procurement activities are executed in a timely and effective manner.
  • Supply Chain Management: Manage and optimize procurement and supply chain workflows and processes for improved efficiency and service.
  • Vendor Management: Through vendor/supplier research, evaluation, and sourcing tactics, lead the development and execution of procurement plans to deliver on organizational objectives consistent with demand, quality, cost, and service.
  • Contract Negotiation: Participate in the negotiation of contracts with vendors and suppliers that create mutually beneficial relationships aligned with the organization's mission, goals, and financial goals.

Requirements:

  • Education: Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management or related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of direct progressive experience in a similar role.
  • Skills: Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 with a focus on MS Excel. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

What We Offer:

  • Salary: An estimated salary range of $80,000 to $85,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
  • Benefits: Three weeks' vacation and benefits.
  • Location: Our Scarborough location (200 Poplar Road) with eligibility to participate in the hybrid/remote work program.
