About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Officer, Programs Outreach to join our team at the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM). As a key member of our Programs department, you will play a critical role in promoting the adoption of local sustainability practices and supporting FCM's overall mandate as a national municipal association.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Service: Provide exceptional client service to applicants, responding to inquiries, and guiding them through the application process.
  • Program Promotion: Develop and deliver effective presentations to various sized groups, promoting FCM's programs and services.
  • Lead Identification and Development: Identify, attract, and develop municipal sustainable projects, contributing to meeting GMF funding targets.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with the team to improve processes and enhance client service.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders, including sector leads and funding team, to provide feedback and support to applicants.
Requirements
  • Education: Post-secondary degree or diploma in engineering, project management, environment, business, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of professional experience in client communications, community engagement, or a related field.
  • Skills: Excellent client service orientation, strong written and oral communication skills, innovative thinking, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
