We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Utility Worker to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will play a critical role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing general repetitive tasks in maintaining assigned areas, with due consideration for patients, visitors, and staff. This includes maintaining clean and sanitary conditions in assigned areas as directed, according to established standards, observing proper cleaning and disinfecting techniques.
The Utility Worker will also participate in On-the-Job Training programs, seek clarification of duties when indicated, offer assistance and/or instruction to co-workers, extend courtesy and consideration to others in interpersonal relationships, and demonstrate a professional manner in work settings.

About YouWe are looking for a candidate who possesses the following qualifications:
- Grade 12/GED required or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and methods that apply to a healthcare setting is an asset
- Good communication skills are essential
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours and CompensationThis is a permanent, part-time position with 30 hours bi-weekly. The hourly rate is $20.02.
