Job Summary

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Pyschologist to join the Short-Term Assessment & Treatment Centre at UBC Hospital in Vancouver, BC.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with mental health issues, substance use, anxiety and mood disorders, and post-traumatic stress disorder.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide psychological services to clients, including assessments, treatment, and education.
  • Work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team to achieve treatment goals.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed client records.
  • Liaise with external agencies and stakeholders to ensure effective care.
  • Participate in quality improvement and risk management activities.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from a recognized university.
  • Two years of recent experience in therapeutic, diagnostic, and consultation services in mental health and substance use.
  • Current registration with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia or registration within two years of employment.
