Brandt Truck Trailers is seeking a skilled Foreman to lead our Nisku location.
The ideal candidate will oversee the daily organization and dispatch of technicians, ensuring quality repair work for the Service Department. They will provide guidance and recommendations to the Service Manager on technician skills and training needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Organize and prioritize work performed and quality control
- Supervise and mentor service technicians
- Coach and develop apprentices
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Advise and mentor technicians on best practices
- Commit to delivering exceptional customer service and service excellence
- Communicate effectively with customers, the service team, and other branch personnel
- Establish and maintain an on-call field schedule
- Manage costs and ensure profitability of the department
- Prepare and process work orders, including warranty claims
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Basic Microsoft Office skills required
- Ability to work flexible hours, including after-hours
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Previous mechanical experience in a Heavy-Duty Truck and Trailer environment
- 3+ years of supervisory experience
- Certified Journeyperson in the Heavy-Duty Truck and/or Equipment technician trade or equivalent designated trade
- Familiarity with Class 6-8 Truck chassis, Trailers, and Truck Equipment
- Experience in a service department setting considered an asset
- Valid CVIP license considered an asset
- Experience with CAT, Cummins, and PACCAR engines considered an asset
