Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team at Matrix Concrete Inc o/a Matrix Concrete. As a Concrete Finisher, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality finish on our concrete surfaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Prepare tenders and quotations to estimate costs and materials.
  • Operate power vibrators to compact concrete and level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification.
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages, to install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures.
  • Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools.
  • Instruct apprentices and ensure they meet the required standards.
  • Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces and waterproof, damp proof, and restore surfaces.
  • Repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy and quality.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the field.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
