Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Garage Door Installer Helper at our Vancouver branch. As a key member of our two-person crew, you will assist in the service and installation of residential and commercial doors while learning from our experienced Garage Door Technicians.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a professional demeanor
  • Assist in the installation and service of overhead doors, including sectional, rolling steel, and high-speed doors
  • Work safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance technical skills and knowledge
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff, construction project managers, and other trades personnel to ensure seamless operations
  • Perform general warehouse duties and be available for on-call shifts

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-6 months' experience in a relevant trade (construction, welding, millwright)
  • Resourcefulness, integrity, strong work ethic, and ability to work in a team environment
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving abstract
  • Any relevant safety training and tickets (WHMIS, Fall Protection, First Aid)
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in various weather conditions
  • Pass pre-employment screening requirements, including drug, alcohol, and health assessments
