About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team at ATLAS Aéronautique inc. in a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables to ensure accurate production.
  • Repair and maintain machine tools and parts to ensure optimal performance.
  • Set up and adjust production machinery and tools to meet quality standards.
  • Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance.
  • Document and report any deviations from specifications and tolerances.
  • Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports.
  • Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments.
  • Operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools to produce high-quality parts.
Requirements
  • Registered Apprenticeship certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Aviation/aerospace manufacturing experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and maintain a safe working space.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Machinist Trade Certification.
  • Experience with automatic lathes, boring machines, drill presses, and other equipment.
  • Knowledge of measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
